What the record means
It is a world record in sanctioned dog weight pull, set under UPF rules, judged at the event and recorded in UPF's official results. It is not a Guinness World Records title, which is a separate record-keeping organization. Both brothers were handler withdrawn after 22,039 pounds, so the number shows where we stopped, not where the dogs had to stop.
Sun Wukong is also the first Boerboel to earn the ADBA Weight Pull ACE title and the first Boerboel ADBA National Champion (2024). Mr. Wednesday is a SABBS Grand Champion and the 2026 Boerboel Expo winner, proof that a working Boerboel does not have to give up breed type.
